The Aspen Institute, with support from Pivotal, has launched the Workplace Innovation Now (WIN) Challenge, a first-of-its-kind grant competition designed to surface and scale solutions that eliminate barriers women face in today’s workplaces. The guiding belief is simple yet profound: when workplaces are built with women in mind, they become better, safer, and more equitable spaces for everyone — strengthening communities and boosting the economy.
At a moment when technology and AI are rapidly transforming work, the WIN Challenge focuses on addressing structural barriers — from caregiving constraints to entrenched bias — that disproportionately push women, particularly mothers of young children, out of the workforce. The program calls for creative, scalable solutions that foster balance, protect safety, and unlock leadership opportunities for women, ultimately benefitting entire organizations and industries.
“We’re honored to power the WIN Challenge on the Carrot Platform,” said Jaison Morgan, CEO at Carrot. “Challenges like this align perfectly with our mission — using competitive innovation to solve systemic problems and accelerate lasting change. When we make workplaces better for women, we make them better for everyone.”
The WIN Challenge is organized around three pillars:
Culture & Practices – Transform workplace systems, policies, and environments.
AI – Harness emerging technologies to create inclusive opportunities.
Narrative – Shift stories and cultural expectations about work and equity.

With the Carrot Platform powering every stage of the competition — from registration and submissions to judging, selection, and reporting — the WIN Challenge is designed to run efficiently, transparently, and at scale, ensuring that the best ideas rise to the top and gain the visibility they deserve.
